Thuja Materials

Next-generation fibre from forest systems

Why We Create

Thuja is a bioregional brand that transforms western redcedar bark fibre into functional, durable textiles. Thuja makes the material origin explicit – forest to fibre to fabric – using reformed waste, regenerative sourcing and culturally approved practices to produce products with traceable provenance and premium, purpose-led positioning.

Thua will recover cedar bark from existing forestry operations and turn it into fibre that can be used to create durable, functional objects. Using modern mechanical separation and controlled processing, this bast material can be refined into fibre suitable for blending, enabling its use in contemporary materials with relatively low environmental impact. At its core, Thuja is about intelligent material use – moving under-utilized parts of the tree into higher-value, longer-lasting uses.
